We run a mixed flock of free-range poultry, principally from a Light Sussex cross. These we maintain for hybrid vigor and hardiness. We believe that our hens should have natural, happy lives, after all they are important to the holding, producing a steady supply of top quality eggs all year round.
Our Glenrootes free range eggs of various sizes and shell colours are a great favourite, the yolks are a deep orange yellow, the whites are solid rather than watery and the flavour is simply something that you just do not find in supermarket eggs.
The fresh eggs of various sizes and hatching eggs (in season) are available for sale direct at the farm gate.
