History

There has been a Chapel on this site since 1835. The sprawling Chapel and Schoolroom were demolished and a smaller multi-purpose building erected on the site in 1977, with a large grassed car park. The building was modernised in 2013 and a planting scheme has been completed to enhance the car park/picnic area.

40th anniversary of the chapel here in Scamble

A special circuit service to celebrate 40 years in the present building was held here on Sunday 16th July at 2.30 p.m. It was led by Revd Bruce Thompson, whose message was to
"Go forth sowing the seed of God's new world, and give thanks, for God will supply the growth".

Strawberry teas

The Country Walk and Strawberry Tea was very well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. Rev Sue Wilkins spoke on her call to the ministry to those who preferred not to join the walk and to stay for the talk.

There was a lovely social atmosphere of fellowship amongst friends, new and old.

Lydia led the walk and has great local knowledge. We were taken by the church, and stopped every now and then to admire the views, not least the church in it's beautiful setting.
