Weekly at 2.30 p.m. except for the second Sunday in each month when we meet at 10.00 a.m. and hold an Ecumenical Service in our building or one of the Churches within the Asterby Group

History

|
There has been a Chapel on this site since 1835. The sprawling Chapel and Schoolroom were demolished and a smaller multi-purpose building erected on the site in 1977, with a large grassed car park.

The Future
|
|
Adaptation plans have been drawn up for our new Wolds Methodist Centre, and the Circuit is leading this initiative. It will be a place of retreat, offer Interpretation of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and its Methodist Heritage and be a sacred place for visitors or residents of the county. We are hoping to secure funding to enable alterations to start in 2010/11. The original plans are shown below.

The building is situated on the edge of the village with views to the Bluestone Heath Road and surrounding hills. When approaching from the A153 turn off into the village and pass around the school into South Street, take first left and chapel is on right. Travelling North West on Bluestone Heath Road turn left at crossroads signed Scamblesby, the chapel is half a mile on the left before T junction.

| The Viking Way passes through the village and we regularly welcome walking groups to the Chapel where the facilities can be used before and after the walk. Light meals can be provided by arrangement for groups of visitors (maximum 30)
