History

There has been a Chapel on this site since 1835. The sprawling Chapel and Schoolroom were demolished and a smaller multi-purpose building erected on the site in 1977, with a large grassed car park. The building was modernised in 2013 and a planting scheme has been completed to enhance the car park/picnic area.

Strawberry teas

The Country Walk and Strawberry Tea is a popular way to spend a summer afternoon in the Wolds. Rev Sue Wilkins spoke on her call to the ministry to those who preferred not to join the walk and to stay for the talk.

There was a lovely social atmosphere of fellowship amongst friends, new and old.

Lydia led the walk and has great local knowledge. We were taken by the church, and stopped every now and then to admire the views, not least the church in it's beautiful setting.

The dogs enjoyed the walk and can now relax - they probably walked further than the rest of us!
